   Boucher Bill Reintroduced

   The Boucher Bill:
   http://www.infoworld.com/articles/hn/xml/03/01/08/030108hncopying.xml?
s=IDGNS to reform the DMCA has been reintroduced in the new session of
Congress. The bill would re-legalize fair use copying, even if the
user has to get around a copy-restriction system to do it. Time to
fire off a letter to get your member of Congress to join as a
   co-sponsor.

Remember, you can't reform all of politics at once. You can't testify
before the Senate (and you probably can't get a meeting with your
Senator). So you can't beat Jack Valenti on his own terms. But you can
get letters in your Representative's face, you can meet with your
Representative in person, and you can persuade that one person to
   sponsor that one reform.

That's the important lesson of the "free Dmitry" movement: pick a
small injustice that you understand and fix it. Learn. Then tackle the
   next one.

It's called "fair use" for a reason. People, like the Elcomsoft jury,
think it's fair. Advocating for fairness--how hard can that be? Go to
   those constituent meetings, people.
