[PLUG] Comcast: Static IP

My experience with attbi was that the dynamic ip did not
change. I had the same ip for a year; it even followed
when I moved a short distance.

I expect comcast to be the same. The ip should only change if
- comcast changes something backstage (rare/unlikely)
- you allow the dhcp lease to expire
- you connect with a different machine (MAC address)

My setup has a linksys router directly after the cable modem.
Since I only request dhcp with it, and it renews the lease
automatically, my ip address doesn't change.

Does your ip really change every 3 days, or are you just
concerned it might?
