Give the accused a jury of office workers and doctors and you will
get you a conviction of someone sending a email with a file attached
using these type of laws. I doubt you will find more then a few
judges that understand the Internet and network file sharing. Besides
it only cost the targeted Internet user $50,000 or more to defend
themselves of the charges under laws that are so vague conviction is
easy. I imagine there are people you can point to that have been
convicted using vague US or State computer laws. Anyone on this list
want to share their experinces?
The hysteria surrounding the Internet, file sharing and other modes
is reaching absurd levels.
Here is an example from a NY Times Article:

Internet Chat Seen as Tool to Teach Theft of Credit Cards
By NICHOLAS THOMPSON
On Tuesday morning, one Internet chat group called #ccpower was
bustling. A user there was selling credit card numbers, obtained
illegally online, for 50 cents to $1 each, another was accusing other
sellers of stolen credit card numbers of cheating, and yet another
user wanted lessons on cracking into online sites containing credit
card information
