Hello,
We are proud to announce the release of Maintain 2.1-beta1 under the GPL. It is now available for download from http://oss.oregonstate.edu/maintain/download.php. This release requires a great deal of configuration to get working. We
will be working on ease-of-use and installation in future versions but want to get something out now. Please report any bugs you encounter to maintain-devel at lists.orst.edu. Feedback and feature requests are always welcome.
Features:
* Web-based interface for DNS/DHCP management
* Ability to delegate authority of zone information to individual users/groups
* Quick updates (compleate config builds in ~60 seconds)
* Advanced error reporting for zone transfers and DHCP server problems
* Generate zone files and DHCP configurations for primary and secondary DNS & DHCP
servers
* Edit host information including MAC address, hostname, domain name, etc.
* Zone statistics such as total bandwidth used and bandwidth history for individual
hosts (requires flo module)
* Support for automatic registration on public networks (using authentication)
* Search on any informational field, domain name, ip address, hardware type...
* Ability to develop additional features through a module interface
* Automatic Host Expiration
* Many bug fixes and code improvements over previous versions
* Enhanced Auto-registration tools.
