[PLUG] .NET technology on Linux or a good substitution?

Michael was replying to my original statement:

"This will be extremely difficult to find, part of the EULA for .NET
forbids publishing any kind of performance benchmarks."

Which was what I remember reading, I guess I equated "permission from
Redmond" with "if it is published it is not a real benchmark".

Anyway, I don't agree with the practice.
