Apparently Oregon's super DMCA bill is still alive. I got this email from
Charles Starr's office today (because I wrote him protesting 655 a few
months back). Anyone got any other info on this bill?

You are receiving this email because you are on an alert list for SB
655.

You may have heard that SB 655 is up for a hearing tomorrow. The hearing
has been postponed until Wednesday, but the bill is up for a "gut 'n
stuff" which will replace its contents with an entirely different bill.
The replacement language would direct the PUC to prohibit the
disconnection of "local exchange residential service" under certain
circumstances where a person could be endangered by not being able to
call police. The original bill is completely eliminated.

If you have any further questions, I'd be happy to answer them.
