I don't know if anyone has succcessfully used this on Redhat 8 or newer
as I've run into news on google that it's not supported. I tried to
use a http://www.opensound.org Linux forum, unfortunately the forum
doesn't work with Redhat 8's mozilla. There was an archived support
post on redhat.com that suggested their might be a commercial driver
for the integrated Nicrosoft Soundmaker Cadneza, but I haven't been
able to track it down. This card even stinks under 98SE for support
needing an obscure patch. I'm almost ready to turn it off and put my
soundblaster live in despite hating the idea of dead ports which is
why I looked for this motherboard in the first place.

I'm trying to get DVD's to play on this board as I can't get that to work
under 98SE where lack of sound support is an added obstacle so far for
making DVD playback work under Linux. I'm staying away from XP because
I don't want to buy it A and I have seen strong indications that it
doesn't work in a multiboot environment and doesn't work well with
Samba.

Anyone know what the status of the serial ATA and raid features of this
board under Linux>
