[PLUG] Configure a sound card

My sound card recently stopped working on my Red Hat 8 machine after I
upgraded to the latest kernel.  I cannot find sndconfig on my system so
I figure it is not used.  Is there an equivalent tool or some tool that
I can use to set up my card.  When I use the sound card configuration
from the System Settings panel, I get the following 

Vendor: Intel Corp.
Model: 82801DB AC
Module: i810_audio

Pressing "Play test sound" plays no sound but gives no error either (not
sure if it's supposed to).

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
