That's how to get rid of console flotsam ... unless you think the 
developer ought to read this stuff instead of you:

  silly-gui-app 2>&1 | mail -s 'useless spew' developer at gui.org

("I was only trying let you see the debugging info you thought was 
interesting. Honest!" :-)
