[PLUG] trouble with GNOME

Stupid question, but how do I launch it in terminal. I found the file
in /usr/bin but get the error Gtk-Warning **: cannot open display

To make things even more interesting, I had to reconfigure my XF86config
file because xWindows would not boot. I got startx to work in root, but
not in my user account.

I tried Evolution in my root account and it worked.

Now I am scratching my head. Isn't the XF86config file that root is
using, the same one the user account accesses? Why would startx work in
one and not the other?

The error I get is:
Error loading keymap /var/tmp/server-0.xkm
Couldn't load XKB keymap, falling back to pre-XKB keymap
Mkdtemp: private socket dir: No space left on device

If you are not getting any error messages, you might consider launching
evolution from a terminal to see if you get any error messages there.
When I corrected the two files I mentioned earlier, everything worked
fine.
