There is a little program called TealLock too. This program obfuscates
the on-screen passwords while you put them in by making them little
stars (*). You can also use a 'keypad combination'. That is a feature
that allows you to use the application buttons and scroll buttons on
your palm as a sortof combo lock. Also, TealLock has a feature that
allows you to set an arbitrary number of failed logins after which your
entire palm is erased. It also has encryption, and a lot of other things
that make life easier.

There is now a release of PGP 8.0 for PalmOS as well, giving PGPDisk
support (among other things) which is fairly secure.

I think the combination of these two things would make a palm fairly
well secured. Links provided below.

But the problem with passwords on a palm is that they're too easy to 
shoulder-surf.
