You have a right to remain silent, but in a democracy you also have a
moral duty to speak up and hold your government and people accountable
when they do wrong.  Duty and responsiblity--aren't those things
conservatives are always going on about?  Propriety might lead one, on
the other hand, to limit one's discussion to appropriate forums.
