That must be a dirty screen.  I've found simply using a clean cotton
cloth with a small amount of windex (or something similar) sprayed on
the cloth itself to work very well.  FWIW, spraying solvents directly on
the LCD is known to be somewhat dangerous, not so much for the screen
itself, but if the cleaner runs off the edge of the screen surface it
can damage Important Parts (tm).
