It IS easier for administration and pushing data around.  I would have
prefered postgresql, but I didn't want to wade through and find any syntax
changes.  I will probably experiment with that soon.

I don't think the database is the issue here.

It's Postfix.  I'm using portions of the Courier mail system for POP3 and
IMAP and the authentication there works fine.

The problem is that I can't send mail outside the local domain from remote
locations.

I just can't seem to find which commands to issue for user and pass for
plaintext or CRAM authentication.

Everything else works fine... no way am I wiping these configs.

There's almost nothing useful in the logs, either.

Kinda thinking postfix stinks at this point.
