[PLUG] Palm USB question

Dear Fellow Geeks and Geekettes,

I come to you on bended knee for something that is driving me batty.

Specifically, I want to talk to my Handspring Treo 270 (Palm OS) via the
USB port. Evolution says that it wants to talk to /dev/pilot. Now I
assume that /dev/pilot is linked to something like /dev/ttyUSB0 or some
such. But there ain't no such. I have successfully talked to USB
printers and whatnot, but I haven't been able to talk to my phone.

Please, Mr. Wizard, help me!
