I use it all the time, since many of my workstations are based on eight
year old IDE drives that have been stuffed in questionable storage areas
for much of that time.
The only problem is every now and then I'll "lose" one partition off of a
disk and then I need to dig up the command to use to reinstate it. I
don't know what causes the RAID system to think the partition is bad, but
it seems to happen even without any I/O errors logged.
