  I _really_ appreciate all that I learn from you folks! My system is a bit
different, but using the 'del' key (rather than 'esc') I got to the BIOS. I
looked at each category, but there was nothing about the FSB. Toward the
bottom of the right side was an item "Enable High Performance Features"; no
explanation. But I selected it anyway, saw a message that warned me enabling
whatever was going to be enabled might be dangerous and could have
catastrophic results and ... (gulp!) ... I pressed the [Enter] key. Saved
and exited.

  The system rebooted, I logged in a root and ran 'less /proc/cpuinfo'.
Ta-da! The cup is recognized as an Athlon 2100+, the speed is 1.86GHz and
there are about 3600 bogomips.

  Whew!

  This was a great lesson and I'm honored to learn from you.
