alt.sex used to be a useful newsgroup, ordinary discussions about
ordinary sex.  now it's 100% spam.  nobody reads it any more.
the spam hasn't stopped.  this has been going on for years now,
and it doesn't seem to be dying at all.  I think your model of
the world is flawed.
