50 years? Well, let's do a little tally:

- everyone has a home phone, but no one uses them. They drive up to your house
to talk to you.

- livestock have the right-of-way, and if you hit a cow on the road with your
car, you owe the rancher a new cow. Never mind your mangled car, too bad.

- people who own pickups and SUVs actually drive them off-road, and do work
with them

- Most shops close for lunch, weekends, and hunting season

- 4-H and FFH kids kill and butcher animals, and no one protests

- just try to find some tofu

Yep, it's a different time zone, all right!
