I saw no one suggesting scripts.  MySQL & PostgreSQL are certainly 
full-blown applications.  Python is a non-compiled language (maybe there is 
a compilier) but has the capability of V.Boli and then some.

Perhaps it's the weather, didn't mean to sound pissy, and I'm sure others 
were just trying to help.  Pray for rain...
