If you look at your message headers, you'll see this right under the
Subject line:

In-Reply-To:  <1064706556.4188.12.camel at localhost>

...and that's what it threads based on.  :-)

Your mua automagically inserts that when you decide to reply to an email
rather than starting a new email.
