[PLUG] WiFi (still): diagnosing lack of card recognition

  My enthusiasm was premature. On Saturday I tried to get a connection at a
local coffee house (well, sorta' local: Urban Grind on NE Oregon). No luck.

  According to lsmod, prism54 is loaded, but I cannot get a MAC address from
the card when I try 'iwconfig eth1'. If I try to not load prism54 (or it's
synonym, prism2_cs) and use hostap_cs, there's still no luck. If I bring
down the eth1 interface and try to bring it up again with the hostap_cs, it
just will not come back up.

  Where do I start to diagnose this problem? The card _does_ light up when
placed in another laptop known to work.
