Back in the 80's and early 90's BB took other people's products and
re-branded to their own.  I remember you could buy fluke meters for
40-70% of the list price, much like no-name tires.

Then as much of the tech got commoditized, BB was the only place to get
rock solid equipment that was out of favor (modem with call back form
instance).
