The Senao card I have *looks* like a standard 16 bit PCMCIA card;  it
doesn't have the funny ground strip that I see on 32 bit cardbus cards. 
Check other sources, but I believe this ought to work with older machines.  
While wireless cards are a bit power hungry, they are not high bandwidth.

I don't have an available older laptop set up with a recent Linux.
Is there an easy way to look in /proc/foo/mumble to see whether a
card is attached as 16 bits or 32 bits?
