[PLUG] Reading CD

Hi:

I got a bunch of CDs with large datafiles on them.  Each CD contains about
4 or 5 files (each file is about 140MB to 160MB or so).  When I am trying to 
copy (cp) them onto my hard drive
(I am running Redhat 9), I would often receive
an error saying that "I/O Error reading xyz file".
The same CD, would have
no problem under MS Windows.
I can drag the same set of files onto my harddrive under windows.
So I think the CD itself is not corrupted.

Any tricks in reading large files from
a CD under Linux?
