In modules.conf add:
alias eth0 e100

You may also want to steer it to speed and duplex by adding another
line.

options e100 e100_speed_duplex=N

Where N = 1 for 10 half duplex
2 10 full duplex
3 100 half duplex
4 100 full duplex
