[PLUG] mount failure, not a directory

   [root at newbox mnt]# ls -l /root/cd.iso
   -rw-r--r--    1 root     root     673635508 Aug 30 11:17 /root/cd.iso
   [root at newbox mnt]# ls -ld /mnt/iso
   drwxr-xr-x    2 root     root         4096 Aug 30 13:14 /mnt/iso
   [root at newbox mnt]# mount  -o loop /root/cd.iso /mnt/cdrom
   mount: Not a directory

The target is demonstrated to be a directory.  So mount is giving up the
wrong error message.  

Cluestick anyone?
