I downloaded this, and tried to configure it:

>./configure
[...]
checking for pkg-config... /usr/local/bin/pkg-config
checking for mcs... no
configure: error: Can't find "mcs" in your PATH

...sure enough, no such thing as 'mcs' on my FreeBSD system.  What is it?
