   Yesterday, Poland killed the almost-certain decision of the EU to allow
software patents. Today, the EU's First Court denied Microsoft's request to
stay the penalties imposed on them while they appeal. See:

   Also yesterday, here in the US, SCO had its 4Q conference call with
investors and reported that they will drop the last fragment of their law
suit against Daimler-Chrysler for "lack of timliness in responding". The
judge tossed the remainder of that case a while ago.
