[PLUG] Novice question - mounting USB Drive

I'm already on the list so no need to email me directly.

I'm not familar with the Hal deamon so I'm not sure if it would auto
mount the device or not. I got the impression that it did. Suse has
something similar that detects the device and then automatically mounts
it for you.

True, it would defeat the purpose but I'd hate to see my fstab getting
cluttered with extra enties especially if I never used that device
again.
