I have more experience with ircd servers than I want. And they all
suck. Documentation, source, all of it. The least sucky of them all,
I've found, after "all these years" is Bahamut, which is used by
DAL.net:

Then if you want to be cool, you need to get ircservices:

http://www.ircservices.za.net/
