[PLUG] Mounting a ripped .iso

Let's say I have an encyclopedia CD that I want to share on my
network, but I don't want to tie up the cdrom full time. Could I:

1) Make an image of the CD (dd if=/dev/cdrom of=encyclopedia.iso)
2) Mount it somehow (the part I don't know)
3) And share it like any other filesystem

Seems reasonable. Can it be done?
