[PLUG] OSS Contribution Examples Needed

All,

A government agency is considering the release of taxpayer funded source
code under the GPL.

They wish to see examples of agencies that have released source code in
the past so that they may consider the best alternatives for doing so.

Can anyone cite specific agencies or individuals who are willing to
share their experience releasing source code to OSS or web sites
dedicated to such?
