[PLUG] freezer poll

The freezer trick has worked for me about 1/3 of the time.  So not a very
high percentage but high enough to have me keep trying it if all else has
failed...

I had a hard drive which would not boot at all. After many tries, I let
it sit for over a day in a fairly cold room. It booted and ran for about
an hour. Just long enough to transfer off a few important files and
then it quit permanently.
