I took a lot of flak lst time I was on this list, but I decided to come
back for two reasons.

1. I'm going to be studying Lonux and bulding Linux "Freekboxes" for
Free Geek, and

2. I miss the prople who were nice to me.

I am not currently using Linux on my own system -- my Red Hat crashed
disastrously on my and only with a Windows installation could I save my
data. That odesn;t mean I wouldn;t go back to Linux if an opportunity
presented itself to do so. basically, though, my main interest, at least
for a while, is going to be learning Linux, learning to build Linux
boxes, and evertually building Linux boxes for other people. So first I
need to learn my sutff, and then I need to put it into practice.

One of the things I am trying to figure out is whether there is a makret
for an indpendent PC contrustion contractor in thie day and age, and
whetehr I have what it takes to fill that need once I complte my 60
hours or so of Free Geek training, practice and experience. Entering the
Builkd program is very exciting, but I'm woindering if it's only my
first step.

So here I am. Again. You may call me whatever you like now.

P.S. i also run an eBook publishing house called Michael Hopcroft Press,

two months. I'm taking sponsoirships if anyone is interested. You
basically get your name in the book and a free copy.
