That's one reason I followed up my post with one wondering whether there 
was a central source for both compatibility and drivers. When i was 
using linux on my home computer, i effectively had no printer because 
there was no linux driver at the time for the Lexmark Z65 inkjet.

I don't want anything like that to happen to any of my customers once 
I'm in "the business".
