I didn't use google and the solution wasn't that great.  For
typing up equations something else would be better.   It
was finding an obscure menu and copying the desired character
out, it looks okay though.

Sarcasm isn't a virtue, there's nothing wrong with not
wanting to browse a search engine all the time.  Think 
spam's bad, you can easily google into far worse.  A 
solution out on an unpredictable internet is not a 
secure one.  The Internet we're so fond of is turning 
into a mass bingo ditch.  I like to stay out of ditches
when I can.
