[PLUG] PDF display problems in xpdf: Solved

  For the record, at last weekend's clinic we discovered the source of my
inability to display certain pdf files using xpdf on my notebook. The
incorrect font paths were in ~/.xpdfrc. Because I had never needed to do
anything with either a global or local rc file for xpdf I didn't even know
that one existed.

  Editing the font paths in that file made all the difference. Another day,
another linux lesson.
