[PLUG] Minor annoyance

Whenever I open a KDE application, I get the warning:
"Could not find mime type inode/chardevice." When this
is dismissed, the application comes up.

Apparently I need to do one of the following things:
provide the information it is complaining about not
having, or fix it so that its absence is ignored. Has
anyone else seen such a thing?
