I run spamassassin.  It catches practically everything.  I disabled the
blackhole list checks by scoring them to 0.0.

I don't fight it, I just ignore it... I use some programs to make it
easier to do that.

Spammers will find a way to send so long as it is profitable to do so.
Nobody wants to make it more difficult or expensive to send email, so the
only way to decrease the profitability is to make the email yield no
sales.

The current methods have already driven spam to become largely illegible.
Clients that automatically load data from the internet (via URL or
otherwise) are probably the biggest problem at the moment as they make the
content unfilterable.
