This morning I was reading an interview with Paul Kocher of 
Cryptography Research:

It's an interesting little piece, but I thought this was quite funny:

   Q: How did you get into cryptography, anyway?

   A: Well, you grow up in Oregon, and you have no driver's license,
      and you have a PC in your house--that's part of it...
