After using cpan2rpm for a while and getting really aggravated with the
unreadable spec files it generated, I rolled my own.  The spec file uses
Template Toolkit, so it's a much easier to modify.  It also uses
CPANPLUS, which has shown itself to be less of an improvement over CPAN.
pm (for programmability) than I'd hoped.  The dependencies on CPANPLUS
and Template Toolkit can be somewhat hairy, but you can probably grab
the SRPMs from my repository and rebuild them: 

http://haus.nakedape.cc/ftp/nakedape/rhes3/

At the very least, all of the dependencies should be packaged in my
repository.

Unfortunately, it won't really help you unroll the list of dependencies,
since that's not generally available.
