Thanks for passing that on, Michael. Jeff also said that he would
edit the video and put up that as well. He probably won't get back to
it until next week sometime.

I spent the day at the Real Time Conference. I went to the Linux
sessions. Monte Vista and TimeSys weren't there, so they couldn't
tell us about their patches to the kernel for hard realtime, so the
Blue Cat Linux folk (LynuxWorks SOUNDS like a Linux supporter,
doesn't it?) were busy telling us that Linux is unsuitable for hard
realtime. So what happened to the RT patch? Well, a lot of it got
folded into the 2.6 kernel, they acknowledged, but Linux is only
suitable for soft RT. I hung around for the talk on changes to the
2.6 kernel that were specific to realtime, but the marketing guy get
babbling and there was some poor benighted soul from IBM who kept
trying to correct him (I know he meant well, but he was trying to get
a *marketing* guy to get his facts straight and, well, he was a
*marketing* guy so...). And whenever the FAE tried to get onto a
track that might be even slightly interesting, the marketing guy
brought it back on message. BUY OUR STUFF! Geez. What could have been
an interesting talk...

Enough bitching and moaning.
