Thems fighten word I'm afraid, DRAW!

It's time Java got a little defence on this list.

Try writing a destop GUI app and a web-service using the same code in PHP.

I don't run Ubuntu, but I'm not sure that matters as far as picking an
IDE...

I use Eclipse for everything... everything being php, MySQL, and a little
bit of c/c++, perl, or python.

Unfortunately, I think Java is going to be added to that list next term.
