Well really there are only two you will be concerned with.  AMD's X2 
processor and Intel's Pentium-D.  You will want to research some 
benchmarks to find out which performs best in the areas important to 
you.  If your computer is on a lot the AMD does run consuming slightly 
less power, FYI.  Either will be pretty fast for general use.
