[PLUG] Getting NFS root to work...

It could be that the VA503+ motherboard or bios is not NFS
root compatible, I sure hope this isn't the case.

NFS boot gets to freeing kernel memory and stops on my VA503+,
but it keeps going on my D845PEBT2 just fine and starts
beautifully. There is an irq routing issue on the VA503+, I've
tried syslinux and mknbi-linux where I'm wondering if
a special kernel paramenter is needed to get the VA503+
to NFS boot. I'm using 2.4.25 patched to 2.4.26 from kernel.org
and NFS booting Redhat 7.3. I tested the memory with memtest, it
came up fine. The ltsp4 boot doesn't freeze on the VA503+, I
wonder what's different? I tried switching to an FA311, no
difference. The processor is a K6-2 300. I wonder if switching
to a Pentium would help? There are no errors, it just stops
booting after it frees kernel memory. I don't want to use an
expensive Pentium 4 for a remote wireless router, I want
something that's cheap, throw away, and preferably low power.
Heat tolerant wouldn't hurt either. It has to take a 100 foot
ethernet cable connecting it to my server room and an Alan
Rothberg Cantenna, see http://www.etherdesigns.com.
