The FreeBSD project has a donations page:

There are several pages which describe how to donate to their
organization, and list hardware they've received or would like to
have.  I can't imagine that the FreeBSD organization is swimming in
cash.

The Gentoo Linux site (http://www.gentoo.org) has a link to paypal on
the main page.
