[PLUG] granting host access to a CUPS servers printer?

I have been playing with CUPS, considering converting from BSD lpd.
This is on Debian. I can print locally, from the host with the
printer. I have the server's /etc/cups/cupsd.conf configured to
listen on an inside interface, but a client host on that network isn't
able to print anything. I get a message in the the client's
/var/log/cups/error_log "Unable to get printer status
(client-error-forbidden)!" On the server's /var/log/cups/error_log I
get '"POST /printers/dj HTTP/1.1" 403 0'. I presume I need to add
something to the server's /etc/cups/cupsd.conf to grant access to the
host, but I am not sure exactly what/where. Google has been
recalcitrant. CUPS docs are diffuse. Hints?
