Rich,
I don't think that was the emphasis of the article. I believe that the
revenue imperative can cause a distribution release cycle that is shorter
than technically required. Therein, apparently, lies the problems.
We all upgrade kernels and key packages for security or feature reasons. I
suspect this holds true for the *BSDs as well as for linux.
Anyway, I had not read the Forbes article nor followed the issue, but the
short article on The Register caught my eye and I thought I'd share it with
all of you.
