Ok, a "duh!" moment. While I've been semi aware of abuse@, it never sunk in
that just forwarding spam to the serving ISP was a thing I should do. But,
isn't that just confirming a live address to the spammer running his own ISP?
Do I need to move up a level to the ISP's ISP? Sounds like I've got more
reading to do. Any recommended source for this kind of spam fighting
information?

In any event, reporting is not something many of my friends will want to do,
or even understand. So, for them, is my idea of having them establish their
primary account with Comcast as a throw-away name and their preferred
addresses as secondary accounts a reasonable thing for them to do, or is
there some gotcha I'm not thinking of?
